The Next Revolution - GREEN REVOLUTION

Green Revolution is coming!

A Green Green Grass of Home is no longer just a countryside song.  It has carved a strong neuronal pathway through multitude of synapses in the brain of both young and old today.

All of a sudden, in a very short span of time, the psyche of the mass has shifted so dramatically from concrete city fans to eco-lovers?   The wind of change has finally swept from all directions.  Some postulated that Nature (God) was angered by the indiscriminate human demonic activities of deforestation, widespread open-burning, and overproduction of green-house gases from uncontrolled industrialization.   As a result, global warming, melting ice caps and icebergs, sinking islands, tornadoes, typhoons, hurricanes, floods,
droughts,  forest fires and other climatic calamities and phenomena such as El Nina continued to strike mercilessly at an increasing frequency.

World leaders converged, congregated and communicated with one another in international forums, congresses and summits at United Nation to formulate resolutions, guidelines, consensus and treaties that form the crux of the common mindset for mankind of this millennium.    The take home messages for the world leaders are: Go Green; reduce carbon dioxide emission and promote eco-friendliness to save our Earth from recurring and worsening disasters.  To me, this is the spark of a new revolution as the IT revolution approaches its impending end.  GREEN REVOLUTION is the next revolution and this is the beginning of this new revolution.  Knowingly or unknowingly, our subconscious mind has been bombarded by repeated messages to Go Green for Good, be eco-friendly, be aware of our carbon footprints, reduce, recycle and reuse, save our Earth …  (The list of new words and slogans related to greening continues to grow indefinitely.)   The minority who started the greening initiative is fast influencing the majority who remained apathetic.  At the rate it is going, the minority will soon be the majority and vice-versa.  Greening is not a choice, it is indeed a necessity to save our mother Earth from repeated assaults by her most intelligent (or is it most unintelligent) inhabitants.
